Under beautiful skies but tough water conditions, hundreds of anglers took to the water Saturday, March 27th for the 18th Annual Hawgs and Dogs Combo Derby, presented by Fisherman's Marine & Outdoor. 

As the results rolled into the spirited banquet, catered by Buster's Barbeque, the winning teams were:  

Sturgeon Division

1st Place Team: 132.3 total pounds, Captain Jason Wynn
2nd Place Team:  94.5 total pounds, Captain Ray Jackson
3rd Place Team: 62.8 total pounds, Captain Dustin Thompson
Big Fish Award:  48.4 pounds, angler Reiley Wynn

Salmon Division

1st Place Team:  40.0 total pounds, Captain Colonel Thomas
2nd Place Team:  38.1 total pounds, Captain Alex Brauer
3rd Place Team:  33.1 total pounds, Captain RJ Herzman
Big Fish Award: 15.5 pounds, angler Chris Boettcher

Willie Boat Raffle

For the fifth year in a row, Willie Boats had donated a custom, loaded drift boat, trailer and oar package.  Tickets were sold both prior to and at the event.  In the drawing, the boat was awarded to Mike Kaptur, who had entered with only a single ticket... proving that even a single chance to win can make it happen!
