You are cordially invited to the Fisherman’s Marine & Outdoor 21st Annual Spring Fishing Classic on March 30, 2013.
All proceeds go to benefit the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association (NSIA). As a result of
contributions from events like the 21st Annual Spring Fishing Classic, NSIA has been successful in
getting new fisheries, preserving existing fisheries, and being the sport fisherman’s voice in
government. This will be an open derby. All guided boats and boats without guides will compete equally for prizes. Fisherman’s has chosen to continue the ongoing tradition of sports anglers leading the charge when it comes to the conservation of our valued fish species. We will be allowing steelhead in combination with salmon. The total weight of all steelhead and salmon for each team will be combined. A captain’s meeting will be held the evening before the derby on March 29th at 7pm at the Delta Park location of Fisherman’s Marine & Outdoor. At that time all captains will be able to collect team bags and t-shirts. The day of the derby weigh-in will take place at the Kleiver Memorial Armory, 10000 NE 33rd Drive in Portland, followed by the awards ceremony and raffle at the same location. Buster’s will once again be providing great barbecue meal beginning at 3:30, with the ceremony to follow. This year’s entry fee is$240 per team/$80 per person. You can register your team at any Fisherman’s Marine & Outdoor location. After your entry is processed, you will receive a confirmation letter with your team number(s) via mail.
